A Spooky Update

Well, it's not really a super spooky update haha, but I wanted to make a short post about these cute little Halloween brooches I've started making. We don't really celebrate Halloween here in Australia, but once I started sewing together these felt Halloween-themes brooches, I just couldn't stop myself! The good news is, I'll be adding them one by one to my Etsy shop, so if you're interested in purchasing one please head on over there and have a look :) I've already completed a cat one (as a gift for a friend though) and a bat one which will be for sale, and the next few brooches will include a jack-o-lantern, a ghost, another bat and possibly a witch, so check by my Etsy in the next few days if you're interested in one of these!

Etsy Update

Running an Etsy shop is very much a part-time thing for me - I wish I had more time to put into it, traveling around rummaging through op-shops and thrift stores is my dream! However, a full-time university course gets in the way, plus a part-time writing job...sigh* Anyhow, here are some new items I have added to my store. The best bit? They're all under $25! Bargain :)

Blog Love - Doris Anne: Feathers & Things

I stumble upon a lot of wonderful blogs every now and then, but I have to admit, I've absolutely fallen in love with Doris Anne: Feathers & Things! This lovely blog is run by the super stylish and sweet Kala Noel, an extremely talented young woman who can sing, dance, make awesome jewellery and thrift shop like a professional! Not only does her blog provide me with inspiration to continue working hard towards my own Etsy shop, but she has also become a bit of a style icon to me. I recommend you check out her blog, I'm sure you will be equally as inspired and in awe :)

Etsy: Rouge Pony

Have you ever stumbled upon such whimsy and beauty?! Rouge Pony is an Etsy Seller from Britain who makes handmade pretties for your hair such as flower garlands and Indian chief-like crowns. The photography is absolutely amazing, as you can see, and makes you want to adorn your own lovely locks with nature's gifts and go wandering through a forest. Since I've been struck down these last two days with a case of food poisoning (not very pleasant, I know) I have been trawling through Etsy to try and cure my boredom and cheer me up a little. I have a bit of an obsession with vintage pastel blouses, all the better if they have collars as well! Peacependant Vintage Lookbook

I've been a bit of a busy bee today taking photos for my new Etsy shop. I had lots of fun trying on all the different vintage clothes I've collected to sell and mixing and matching them with one another. All I need to do now though is to take proper photos of each item to upload that show the item from the front and back etc. I didn't realise there would be this much work involved! Over the next few days I will also be visiting places to try and find more unique and lovely vintage clothes to sell.
